Out of everything we have done today, the one thing that stood out to me was the excitement and smiles that the ninos from Las Trincheras had for all of us (CCLP). For them to smile made me smile and brought joy to my heart. I really liked how Manuel shared with the group how the police officers commented that us being here gives hope to all the Salvadorans.
I would like to raise funds to send to ESNA (El Salvador North America) Village Network to use for projects like the Las Trincheras Early Childhood Development Center, or building new ways to have easier access to drinking water.
Things are not perfect yet in El Salvador, but slowly it is improving with peach. A lot has to do with the people like us who come and learn or do service projects with the communities. There is still a lot that needs to be done to continue to be a hope for others.
