Alyssa’s thoughts

Alyssa's thoughts

We went to Oscar Romero’s house, the church he was assassinated in, a museum that provided further information about his death, and the Cathedral that held his tomb.

The most impactful experience I had today was when I saw graphic images of the many murders during the massacres here in El Salvador. It disturbed me to think this happened to innocent, good people. Because of the many places we visited that told the story of Oscar Romero and of the many other people who were murdered, I not only learned a lot but I also understand and feel sympathy and compassion for the people of El Salvador.
